Marti graduated from University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a teaching certificate. For five years, Marti taught elementary school in Kenosha, WI. During this time, she became an owner/partner in single family homes and multi-unit residential buildings. As the portfolio grew, Bear Property Management, Inc. was founded in 1989 in order to provide services for personal assets, and for investors with real estate acquisitions with real estate management and maintenance needs.

Marti oversees many facets of management for single family homes, multi-family residential units, commercial office and retail suites, condo association management, home owner association management, and bank OREO portfolios. She is also involved in management of a health club and in addition hotel ownership. Marti’s professional affiliations include a past board member of the Boys and Girls Club and St. Joseph High School, and she is a current board member of the Kenosha Achievement Center.

Marti continues to be involved in seminars for fair housing, state and federal law changes, social media and marketing in order to stay abreast of law changes and trends for property management. She has a steadfast commitment to professionalism, excellence, and customer service. As a real estate consultant and entrepreneur, Steve Mills has spent the last 30 plus years advising clients in real estate related matters. He has worn various “hats” during this period of time. His daily activities include real estate consulting, brokerage, and development. Along with partners and stockholders, he owns and operates companies in the fields of construction, property management, and finance as an adjunct to his real estate activities.

EDUCATION

Steve is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a degree in Administration. Holder of the CCIM designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member of the National Association of REALTORS®, he has demonstrated expertise in real estate investment analysis, taxation, and property investment. This designation is bestowed on a limited number of individuals and certifies his knowledge and expertise in the real estate investment field. This certification coupled with his experience provides him with greater credibility in working with clients, lenders, peers and governmental entities during the land use approval process.

Bear Realty, headquartered in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was founded in 1924 and has successfully operated in Southeastern Wisconsin since that time. This family partnership acts as a development entity. Assets include multi-family rental, office, retail, and in excess of 1,000 acres of transition land in Southeastern, Wisconsin.

Len graduated Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and passed the CPA exam that same year. He started his accounting career in the private sector in Chicago, Illinois working for the largest public utility in Northern Illinois where he worked in the Rate Department. After two and a half years in Chicago, he started his banking career as Comptroller of a very small Federal Savings and Loan in Lake County, Illinois. Over the next 12 years, which included a merger with another much larger financial institution located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, he gained significant knowledge of banking that has proved invaluable in expanding services offered to property management clients and tenants. He ended his banking career, after another bank merger, as Assistant Controller. At that time, he supervised an accounting staff of ten employees that were responsible for all daily accounting functions of fourteen branch offices and all corporate accounting operations of a billion dollar financial institution that underwent an IPO during his tenure.

Len joined the firm in 1998 where he has been involved in all facets of the operations of the company and its principals numerous business enterprises. His involvement includes residential and commercial property management, real estate development, as well as providing accounting and human resources services for many different business entities. When he started the company managed assets for twenty one different taxable entities and partnerships. The company continues to grow and now serves over sixty five different companies consisting of numerous different business interests, third party clients, bank OREO portfolios and individuals with assets in numerous states.

Tony’s career in real estate began in 1997. He graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate and Urban Development and went to work as a Realtor for Bear Realty. Since then, he opened and managed a local real estate firm as the Sales Director from 2004-12. He later managed a local property management firm which leased and managed a portfolio of residential, commercial, office and retail space. Tony is a lifelong resident of Kenosha and has volunteered on many local committees that contribute to a better quality of life in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Beth began her career at Bear Realty/Bear Property Management as the Trust Accountant in 1997 as well as obtaining her Associates Degree in Accounting from Gateway Technical College. Over the years Beth’s role evolved into sales as she obtained her Wisconsin and Illinois Real Estate licenses. Today she maintains both her Broker license in Wisconsin and her Managing Broker license in Illinois. Currently Beth serves as the Commercial Lease Administrator and oversees Bear’s commercial portfolio of over 500,000 square feet of retail, office, medical and industrial buildings.
