Racine & Kenosha County Fall Fun Guide 2022

Halloween is a time for fun, food, and celebration. It's also a time to dress up and have fun with the kids! So whether you are looking for a place to go trick-or-treating, want to enjoy some fall fun, or just want to get into the Halloween spirit, there are plenty of Halloween events happening in Southeastern Wisconsin this year. Here's a list of some great family-friendly Halloween activities:

If you're looking for some great events in Racine or Kenosha County this Halloween Season, look no further! We've compiled a list of some of our locals' favorites below:

• Boo at the Racine Zoo (October 29, 2022) : Calling all little ghosts and goblins! The Racine Zoo is celebrating Halloween with a safe, outdoor trick-or-treat event. Come enjoy some fun in the sun with our special creepy, crawly animal ambassadors, bounce houses, food and drinks available for purchase, and more haunted surprises!
• Glow in the Park at Boundless Adventures (Fridays & Saturdays in October 6-9 PM): Adventure Park At Night! These special Saturday nights mean neon lights, smoke machines, and music at Boundless Adventures! Book your visit early as these events are very popular. Enjoy the family-friendly outdoor aerial adventure park: crawl, swing, climb, balance, and zip-line through the forest!
• For the Big Kids - Abandoned Haunted House Complex (Open Weekends): If you're in for a frightening time, one of the midwest's largest haunted complexes is only minutes away! This large property located off of I94 in Mt. Pleasant holds four separate haunted attractions, from haunted houses, corn mazes, and ax throwing.

One of the hallmarks of fall is the crisp, cool weather and the beautiful colors that come with it. But we've got another thing to add to that list: apple orchards and pumpkin patches!

This year, you can check out some of the best pick-your-own orchards and pumpkin patches in Racine County and Kenosha County. Here are just a few of our hometown favorites:

Great Pumpkin Chuckin' Fest - Union Grove (October 15th, 2022) Get ready to chuck pumpkins, grill up some delicious BBQ, and take in the sights of Union Grove's Great Pumpkin Chuckin Fest. The fairgrounds are open from 10 AM until 5:00 PM to provide you with the best pumpkins to chuck, a BBQ cook-off where they name the best of the Midwest, hay rides and barrel rides, and even helicopter rides over Union Grove. There will be a treasure hunt for kids of all ages to participate in and miniature horses for them to ride. Plus there will be costume contests for adults and children! Admission is free!

Lost Bearings at Jellystone Park (September 10 - October 31) Fall is the perfect time to get lost in a corn maze, so we're excited to announce that Lost Bearings Fall Frenzy is now open at Bear Paw Beach, Jellystone Park! Located in Caledonia, people get the chance to stop by or stay the night at Jellystone. They offer everything from a corn maze, zombie laser zag, a haunted trail, a night-time drone show and an apple canon!
